ICS TRADITIONAL RED CHILI
with opportunity to qualify for ICS World's Championship Chili Cookoff:

$30 dlls. ICS members; $72 dlls. non-members
(includes 1 year membership in International Chili Society and subscription to Chile Pepper Magazine)
PLUS 1 GALLON OR MORE OF PEOPLE'S CHOICE HANDOUT CHILI (must contain beans or pasta) OR FIERY FOOD FOR THE PUBLIC
(Table, chair & communal canopies provided)

PRIZES FOR ICS RED CHILI: First Place - $700 dlls., Weekend for 2 at Quintas
Papagayo & trophy; Second Place - $200 dlls. & trophy; Third Place - $100 dlls. & trophy

 

NON-ICS "OPEN" RED CHILI:
$30 dlls. entry fee plus 1 GALLON OR MORE OF PEOPLE'S CHOICE HANDOUT CHILI
(must contain beans or pasta) OR FIERY FOOD FOR THE PUBLIC
(Table, chair & communal canopies provided)

PRIZES FOR “OPEN” RED CHILI: First Place - $250 dlls., Weekend for 2 at
Quintas Papagayo & trophy; Second Place -$100 dlls. &  trophy; Third Place -$50 dlls. & trophy

 

SALSA:
ONE FREE ENTRY per team if cooking chili; $15 dlls. all other contestants
(To qualify for Overall Best Salsas trophy, 1 cup salsa is required in each of the two categories:
Traditional/Vegetable Salsa and Salsa containing Fruit)

PRIZE FOR OVERALL BEST SALSAS: Weekend for 2 at Quintas Papagayo, Overnight for 2 at Baja Cactus Motel in El Rosario & commemorative plaque
